A fully bespoke and one of a kind experience to explore the features of the pre-launch Nokia 8.
For the consumer electronics show, IFA Berlin - HMD Global x Nokia partnered with us to create a one of a kind experience. We were briefed to create a break-away space from the main conference, for press and delegates; in order to showcase the new flagship phone, the innovative Nokia 8.
To respond to this brief, we got first hand experience with the soon to launch smartphone. Here we learned more about its three ‘world first’ features.
From our research, we established a series of concepts; exploring sensory themes, the need to capture moments, and the creation of a homely environment.
Once the perfect location for The Home of Nokia had been scouted (a converted city centre 10 room apartment), full pre-production went underway to bring the home to life.
Collecting members of the press and delegates; a fleet of custom HMD Global x Nokia, Audi A8s brought them to the home in style.
Upon arriving, guests were welcomed into the streaming room - exploring the 8’s live-streaming capabilities. Also within the space, media briefings were hosted by the HMD Global CMO and Product Marketing Manager. Insight was also given into the unique hardware by a representative of Zeiss; adding depth to the creation of the device.
Flowing through to the Bothie Room; guests stepped into a tropical, neon, photo taking paradise - creating incredible Dual-Sight photos. All content was directly shared from the nearby touch screens.
The third experience space explored the OZO Audio capabilities. In the dark, atnospheric space, guests enjoyed tuning out all other sights and sounds - to enjoy 360 audio, all captured on the Nokia 8.
After exploring the three feature rooms, guests stepped into the relaxed environment of the open-plan dining and meeting spaces where they could help themselves to a wide selection of gourmet foods including Poki bowls and Bibimbap.
With the Home of Nokia being live for three days, over 150 tech press and delegates attended. It saw coverage in top tech and advertising publications almost instantly; Including Sapo Tek, Observador, TuttoAndroid, mobiFlip and Campaign.
