The 19th GQ Men of the Year awards was a night to remember. Not only was there the endless champagne, a red carpet of A-listers and controversial award speeches (Amy Schumer we’re looking at you..) this year, there was something else that set this award ceremony apart from the rest.
Taking place at the Tate Modern, London, GQ decided to give this year’s guests an entertaining experience and so enlisted The Flash Pack and the set designer, George Lewin to create something distinctively special for the this highly anticipated award ceremony. Together, we created a photo/art installation that allowed the stars and guests to express themselves whilst producing highly compelling and shareable moving content. This innovative experience was named the ‘Instagram Booth’.
Celebrities such as Mo Farah, Bella Hadid, Ricky Gervais, Grayson Perry, Tom Daley, Anthony Joshua, Billy Connolly, Ashley Graham and many more were led to the Instagram Booth via the red carpet. Here, they posed in front of an immersive, 3D geometric set that was designed and created by George Lewin. The Freezus Curve captured the moment in a series of high resolution photographs to form a smooth 3D video and the track ‘Breathe Life (Instrumental) by Jack Garratt was added to each piece of content.
Here’s our favourite Freezus Curve moments from the night:
