This week we had a brief Q&A with one of our wonderful Account Managers, Kate Gibson. We discussed with her what she loves about The Flash Pack and how she finds working here. Check it out below!
How have you found your first 10 months with The Flash Pack?
My first 10 months at The Flash Pack have been a complete whirlwind! I can’t believe it’s gone so quickly. As soon as I started last November I was thrown in the deep end and learnt to pick up the skills needed to be an Account Manager here at The Flash Pack, quickly! Since then, I have been involved in over 70 unique briefs and worked with some amazing brands like John Lewis, Microsoft, Disney and Captain Morgans. The next few months are very exciting as we are off to Wireless with New Look, The Open with Mastercard and on a month long tour with Nintendo.
What do you like about working here and how is it different to your last role?
I love how fast paced everything is and you never know what each day is going to throw at you. It’s quite ordinary to have 5 new briefs come in on the same day that need quotes and a deck back within 24 hours. I came into The Flash Pack from a hospitality background (my last role was the Sales Manager at ZSL London Zoo), so it is very different! All my event skills are still applicable but I can really get involved with the events and can put my own creative spin on them. Also, I can't not mention the team that I work with on a day to day basis – they are the best!
What has been your favourite event to date?
I have enjoyed them all in their own way! Captain Morgans was fun as I managed to get my image up onto the big screen at Piccadilly Circus and the team I worked with were fantastic! I also worked on a Slo Mo shoot at Battersea Dogs Home, it was definitely more difficult than we had imagined but so worth it! The end footage looks amazing!
What has been the biggest challenge since joining?
Learning the technical side! I have learnt so much and there is still so much more to learn...I don’t think I will ever get everything! Luckily we have an amazing technical production team that I can turn to.
Who is your dream client?
My ultimate client would be Walt Disney World in Florida. I used to work there in 2009 and it would be amazing to go back and deliver on an incredible photo experience. I am thinking a 360 booth and more…
