Instagram is the go-to place for a daily dose of visual inspiration. With 400 millions plus monthly active users, Instagram’s popularity is by no means waning. It is the only social media platform which successfully combines great visual content, immediacy, intimacy, community and creative freedom (albeit with some limitations). Some of the world’s greatest young visual storytellers use Instagram to showcase their lives and work. Here’s our pick of the 5 we find especially engaging:

1) @leeorwild 47.1K followers

Minimal and clean, Leeor Wild’s Instagram feed ticks all the boxes of great design. This Toronto based Creative Director posts suggestive imagery that never quite reveals the scene in its entirety, leaving an air of mystery around the subject. The feed has evolved over the past few months, from a collection of more tonal posts with a muted colour palette (blues, white and greys), to a feed with a little more vibrancy and colour.

2) @reepsone 54.8K followers

This Instagram feed acts as a visual diary, documenting Reeps’ geographical travels, as well as his journey as an artist. As a beatboxer and visual artist, Reeps explores his creativity through his feed. An autobiographical collection of photographs, there’s a little of everything: from performances, to his monochrome artwork, to using his platform to introduce new talent. This account is for sure, worth a follow.

3) @saintrecords 1.3M followers

Solange Knowles, also known as Beyonce’s sister, sets herself apart with her vibrant Instagram. The feed explores colour, texture, composition and pattern, and is a carefully curated representation of Solange’s personality. We also see cameos from Solange’s husband, Alan Ferguson and son, Daniel. This exploration of aesthetics, travel and culture, will give you a fix of happiness on a rainy day.

4) @dapperlou 81.1K followers

Exploring themes of colour blocking, pattern and expression, Dapper Lou masters the art of visual storytelling. Each image has been very deliberately picked for the feed. The work is presented in series and Dapper Lou adheres to posting in threes; an Instagram trend which only works with the very highest quality content - and that, Dapper Lou has. The feed is a nod towards fashion and streetstyle, with the ‘Primary: red’ series referencing the cult, streetwear brand Supreme. Having developed visually over the past few weeks, this account is definitely one to watch.

5) @itstheflashpack 881 followers

We can’t comment on interesting Instagram accounts without mentioning The Flash Pack’s feed. This account is a combination of collected inspiration and imagery created through our innovative photographic products. An exploration of our brand philosophy, the feed shows we are much more than just a photo booth hire company - we are the makers and curators of fearless photo experiences. With ‘bright, big, bold’ as the all-encompassing theme of the feed, this is a source of visual inspiration, exploring great art, culture, style, humour and photography.

Additionally, we’re using this platform to introduce new talent, often featuring illustrations from our own, in-house Designer, Kieran Gabriel @kee440 and every Thursday, showcasing a new emerging artist. Maybe we’re a bit biased, but this account is one to keep an eye on.

Indulge yourself in some visual inspiration here.
