Today is our 2nd birthday, and what an amazing two years it’s been!
Today we are celebrating our massively successful second year at The Flash Pack.
Only two years ago, three photography companies merged to create The Flash Pack that you know today. This brought all of their insight, creative abilities, and passions together to create something pretty special.
Two years later - we’re a team of 25 photographers, designers, planners, marketers, and technicians who love events, photography and creating amazing content.
With no two briefs ever being the same - being able to create innovative content with so many great brands and agencies has been an amazing experience for us. We thought we'd take a look back at the past 12 months; highlighting some of our favourite activations of the year.
Kicking off our favourite work of the year is our partnership with HMD Global x Nokia. Here we created a pretty special Berlin based activation to celebrate the launch of the powerful Nokia 8. Set in a beautiful city centre apartment building and running for three days, it was jam-packed with press and media from around the world, all eager to explore our sensorial space and learn more about the new handset.
After a series of great global events with IWC in Dubai, Monaco, Zurich, Goodwood and London - we attended the prestigious annual SIHH International Show of Fine Watches in Geneva. Celebrating everything IWC - we created a bespoke art installation of with hints of marble, flashes of chrome and a pretty special light set up, in order to capture VIP guests at this flagship event.
Hanging out with the players from West Ham United and the Tango League; great start, right? Not only that, we got to create 360 video content for players to show off their crazy ball skills. All for their inspiring #NeverFollow campaign that reached 6.8 million people!
Back for Field Day 2017 - one of our favourite London festivals; we set to design and create something legendary for Bumble. With a wall of flowers and cool neon lights, we captured the super happy festival-goers in a super crisp 3D; resulting in a flurry of instagram ready social shares for the East London crowd.
Working with Michael Kors x Tatler - we set to create a kaleidoscopic playground for the English Roses show. With the both the man himself and supermodels such as Jourdan Dunn in attendance; we created one of a kind, kaleidoscopic videos that saw a big impact online.
For the Annual Awards in March, we partnered with the hosts, Creativepool. Our goal was to push the boundaries of an awards photo experience; creating something one of a kind for the 400 advertising industry influencers. To make this happen, we designed and built the ‘Colour Shift Room’. Kitted out with a custom rig - we captured some never seen before double exposed 3D photos.
We also won the award for ‘Small Agency of the Year’. Amazing right!? But more on that later..
In celebration of the Michael Kors collaboration with Jourdan Dunn, and the launch of their new collection, this set up took over Selfridges London and Manchester for a one of a kind photo opp. With champagne and canapes on the go, Jourdan Dunn posed for photos with guests in our bright, 60’s inspired shoot space - capturing unqiue 3D photos, with personalised 3D floating graphics overlaid before guests shared online.
For the launch of Instagram Stories in France; we were tasked to create ultra shareable content for Paris Saint-Germain F.C football players to share with their millions of followers. 14 players and 3 photo opps later, this one got a lot of traction..
We love Netflix, so when they approached us to create activations for their shows, we were stoked! Creating three spaces for three shows, including Stranger Things (one month until Season 2) - we produced amazing content of their most iconic scenes, for guests (and us) to enjoy.
For the Massimo Dutti AW17 collection at their fashion show, The Call Madrid; we were invited to attend and make something truly memorable for their VIP and supermodel guests. Capturing content in black & white and on video, we made great video mosaics that everyone went mad for!
As a close friend of The Flash Pack - we teamed up with fashion designer, Louisa Parris. We captured her beautiful scarves and dresses using a custom 360 rig; shooting mid-air floats and freeze frames on ballerinas, in never before seen 360° videos, perfect for social media.
Being able to work with such forward-thinking brands and agencies has been at the foundation of what has given us the year that we’ve had. It's always such a pleasure to partner with each client, and through this, we’ve been fortunate enough to have been recognised for our hard work in creating dynamic content from the world’s best awards bodies and judges. We may be two years in, but we’re only just getting started!
